Privacy Policy for BeMuslim (كن مسلما : الصلوات - تسبيح)

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the BeMuslim app (the "App") uses, why, and the choices you have. The App does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.

1. Location

The App uses your location to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction for your city.

• While using the App: precise location is requested to determine prayer times and Qibla. You can instead choose your city manually without granting location access.
• In the background (optional): when you enable "Update prayer times while travelling" in Settings, the App monitors significant, city-level location changes. If you move to a new city, the App shows a notification asking you to confirm before updating prayer times and alerts. This option is off by default and can be turned off at any time from the App's settings or the device settings.
• Your chosen location is stored only on your device to calculate prayer times and show them in the widget. We do not upload it to servers of our own.

2. Notifications

The App schedules local notifications on your device for prayer and azkar reminders. We also use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send occasional general notifications, which requires a push token that is not linked to your identity.

3. Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the App free. Google may collect data such as the device advertising identifier (IDFA), approximate location inferred from the IP address, and ad interaction data, to serve and measure ads.

• On iOS 14 and later, the App asks for your permission through the "Allow Tracking" prompt before using the advertising identifier. If you decline, non-personalised ads are shown.
• You can change this permission in device Settings: Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
• Subscribing to the ad-free version removes ads entirely.

4. Analytics and crash reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics from Google to understand how the App is used and to fix crashes. This includes screens viewed, in-app events (such as enabling alerts), device model and OS version, an anonymous app instance identifier, approximate country, and crash logs. This data does not include your name or information that directly identifies you.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The purchase receipt is sent only to Apple's servers to verify the subscription. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your Apple ID settings.

6. Data stored on your device

Your settings, tasbih counters, chosen city, and calculation method are stored locally on your device and shared only with the App's widget through the App's own app group. This data is not uploaded to any server. Deleting the App deletes this data.

7. Data summary and service providers

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with anyone other than the providers listed above.

8. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Your rights and choices

• Turn off location, notifications, or tracking permission in device Settings at any time.
• Turn off background prayer time updates in the App's settings.
• Deleting the App deletes all locally stored data.
• To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, or for any question, contact us at the email below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when new features are added. The new date is shown at the top of this page, and continued use of the App means you accept the updated version.
